Nice Côte d'Azur Opera

Lionel Bringuier invites audiences to an evening defined by power and expressivity.

Presentation

Alongside the dazzling Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor, Op. 23, a masterpiece of virtuosity and emotion performed here by pianist David Kadouch, the program explores works inspired by troubled literary and mythological figures. Francesca da Rimini unfolds as a vivid symphonic fresco drawn from Dante’s Divine Comedy, while the striking Danse de Prométhée by young French composer Charly Mandon offers a bold contemporary counterpoint. A rare encounter between the great classical repertoire and today’s musical creation.
