SYMPHONIC CONCERT
MAHLER
Could Mahler be one of the greatest symphonists of all time? His monumental Symphony No. 5, the most popular of the nine he bequeathed to us, seems to suggest so.
Mahler breaks with the codes of the symphony, transforming it into the musical expression of a human life in all its diversity. Popularised by Death in Venice, for which Luchino Visconti made Adagietto the soundtrack, his Symphony No. 5 acts as both a kind of diary and an epic and universal testimony. A deeply moving experience.
