The Cercle Richard Wagner Rive Droite was founded in 2010 and is celebrating its fourteenth anniversary this year. Its main aim is to promote 17th-century operas, and in particular Richard Wagner's lyric dramas, to a wide audience. It is also committed to making the operatic repertoire and Richard Wagner's masterpieces accessible to all audiences, in a friendly environment open to all musical expressions. With over two hundred members, it is considered one of the most dynamic and active circles in France. Today, the CRWRD has become a major player in the region's cultural life.
A meeting between Richard Wagner, the great 19th-century composer, and Romeo Castellucci, a leading figure in European avant-garde theater for over a decade.
