60 minutes avec le Chœur de l’Opéra Nice Côte d’Azur
Concerts - Chamber music
Date
- Jan 23, 2026 à 8:00 PM
The Nice Opera Choir invites you to an intimate musical interlude at the Marc Chagall Museum. For one hour, thirteen singers from the chamber choir will explore three major worlds of the vocal repertoire: Monteverdi, Schubert and Hersant.
The evening will begin with Claudio Monteverdi's Il lamento d'Arianna, a masterpiece of early madrigal already turning towards opera.
The second part will pay tribute to Franz Schubert, for whom chamber music was at the heart of his musical inspiration. Different facets of the composer will be revealed through several pieces for mixed choir, male choir and female choir.
The concert will conclude with two works by Philippe Hersant:
- Der Wanderer, based on a poem by Georg Trakl, for male choir and piano
- Chinese poems from the 8th century, for mixed choir and piano
